What happens at BUG Beginners?
Beginners is an hour of slower, simpler tunes to help beginners hone their skills.
Generally, you would be able to play C, Am, F, G at a minimum, and be able to chance chords smoothly, and do a basic strum, or be up for improving your skills in all these things.
ORGANISING COMMITTEE MEETINGS are on the last Thursday of the month every 2 months.
NO Beginners on those night :-(

Beginners Session on Thursday night was really pumping and the beginners enjoyed learning about the format of the 12 bar blues.... hope you can practise this a bit more... The 12 bar is A goes like this ( one bar - 4 beats - for each of the letters.

November & December 2016
Attention BEGINNERS - The beginners group meets at the venue at 6pm. If Jeannie is available to lead the group, she will meet you there, but if not, it is a chance to go through suitable songs at a steady (not too fast) pace. You are welcome to stay for dinner and play with the main group from 7:45pm.
September 2016
BEGINNERS- Jeannie will meet you at the Bunch of Grapes onThursday 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th of September at 6pm.
Beginners still meet up on non teaching days, at 6pm, and of course, are welcome to the BUG jam at 7:30pm.
April 2016
Beginners sessions originally were to be for the month of January only. Thanks to Jeannie's and other volunteers' commitment, they have continued to run.
Changes to Beginners: The beginners group will meet at 6pm Thursdays, BUT from the 21st of April, the Beginners Lessons at 6pm will run every second Thursday, or there abouts.
Please email to confirm beginners is on (it may change due to other commitments).
Beginners Sessions began in January 2016
January 7, 14, 21 & 28 - start at 6pm - 7pm
Three of four of us will be there to assist new players. We could have a quick bite at 7pm, and then start the normal session at 7.30pm
